Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of this website and, together with the engagement letter we issue, the professional services we provide to you. Please read them before engaging us.

Acceptance
By using this website or engaging us, you accept these terms. Where an engagement letter or written quote is issued, that document governs the specific work and prevails over these terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
Scope of services
We provide taxation, accounting, GST, payroll, compliance and financial advisory services as described in the engagement letter for each assignment.
Work not described in the engagement letter is outside scope. Additional work is quoted separately and begun only after you approve it in writing.
What we do not provide
- We do not provide investment advice and are not registered as investment advisers. Nothing on this website or in our communications is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or financial product.
- We do not provide legal advice or represent clients in litigation. Where a matter requires counsel, we will say so.
- We do not audit the financial statements of a client for whom we act as accountant or adviser, because independence requirements keep those roles separate.
- We do not guarantee any outcome that depends on the decision of an authority, a lender or a counterparty.
Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate and timely information and documents. Our work is based on what you give us, and we do not independently verify it unless the engagement says otherwise.
- Review the computations, returns and documents we send for approval before they are filed. Filings are made only after you approve them.
- Meet the deadlines we communicate. Where information reaches us late we cannot guarantee a filing will be completed before the statutory due date.
- Retain your own copies of records as required by law.
Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in writing before work begins and do not change during an engagement unless the scope changes and you approve the revision.
Government fees, stamp duty, portal charges and other statutory payments are additional and billed at actuals.
Invoices are payable on the terms stated on them. We may suspend work where fees remain outstanding, after giving you notice.
Consultations
The initial consultation is free and creates no obligation on either side. Views expressed in it are preliminary and based only on what is described during the call.
A consultation does not by itself create a professional engagement. An engagement begins when a written scope and fee are agreed.
Confidentiality
We treat your information as confidential and use it only for your engagement, except where disclosure is required by law or by an order of a competent authority.
The obligation continues after the engagement ends.
Limitation of liability
We perform our work with the reasonable skill and care expected of professionals in our field. We are not liable for loss arising from information that was incomplete, inaccurate or provided late, or from a decision not to act on our advice.
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for an engagement is limited to the professional fees paid to us for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including loss of profit or business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
Either party may end an engagement by written notice. Fees for work performed up to the date of termination remain payable.
On termination we hand over your records and data. We retain our own working papers and any copies required by law or professional obligation.
